Homecoming

Well. It’s here.

One full year.

Homecoming!

Looking back Sas and I have had many ups and downs.. mostly ups and lessons learned and I can honestly say this past year has been the best I’ve ever had.

From his potty training to walking on a lead. From his learning to sit and stay (still a work in progress 🙂 ), greeting me exuberantly at the door to sitting quietly in each others company, we have both come a long way.

We have had lots of help and support from Sasuke’s shelter, friends and family through our trials and tribulations and now we have come through the other side. Once you have made it to the first year with key training points in place, the hard work is done – enjoy! Managing a full time job and adopting without having an extra person to help walk or feed Sasuke has been bloody difficult at times however I’m selfish to say that all Sas’s love and attention is mine, I’ve earned his trust and I wouldn’t have it any other way. The difficult and challenging days aren’t so bad now.

Oh the zooooomies… I forgot, he zooms now. Oh boy (facepalm).

Adopting a dog by yourself isn’t for the faint hearted, especially a dog like Sasuke, yet the reward is so much bigger and so much more fulfilling than I could have hoped for.

Heres to many more years to come!

Happy Homecoming my gorgeous boy!

Right… Wheres the wine??
